AllFusion Modeling Suite r7 is Now Available: 4/19/2006

On behalf of the CA team, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success we are pleased to announce that AllFusion Modeling Suite r7 is now available.

Products included in the suite are:

• AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler (AllFusion ERwin DM)
• AllFusion Model Manager (AllFusion MM)
• AllFusion Process Modeler (AllFusion PM)
• AllFusion Data Model Validator (AllFusion DMV)
• AllFusion Model Navigator (AllFusion MN)

AllFusion Modeling Suite r7 incorporates the following new features and product enhancements in the areas of:

AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler:

• The GDM (Generalized Data Modeling) Engine - A patented rules based product foundation that performs modeling actions based on live centralized modeling semantics to ensure uncompromised model consistency.
• Unparalleled UNDO/REDO/Reverse capabilities during an entire modeling session including the ability to search a dockable Action Log of all modeling session actions by object, object type or transaction type.
• A redesigned Complete Compare facility provides unparalleled model to model, model to database and database to database synchronization via a new single-panel wizard and full-featured, yet simplified results dialog.
• Improved breadth and depth of relational database object support and generation including: full out of the box support for all Oracle 10g/9i relational syntax and database objects as well as external, non-compiled, script based templates facilitating agile syntax support and customized DDL generation.
• Numerous usability enhancements including:
  • Reusable and shareable FE/RE/CC option sets and session settings.
  • Windows standardized Model Explorer.
  • PDF report format is available through the Report Template Builder (RTB).
  • Point and click ALTER script and metamodel generation.
  
  

AllFusion Model Manager:

• Performance improvements for commonly used functions such as opening and saving models and/or sub-models.
• Model Manager utilizes the new Complete Compare change dialog for conflict resolution thereby eliminating the need for the Change Control Manager and extending consistency throughout the modeling workflow.

AllFusion Process Modeler:

A number of improvements and product enhancements focused on providing overall modeling flexibility and a simplified workflow. Included are items such as: improved model synchronization with AllFusion ERwin DM, XML file filtering, re-ordering of swim lanes, a Where Used report, and the ability to customize diagram Kit and Title labels to local languages.
