Sandhill provides technology-independent enterprise modeling education at the conceptual and advanced levels, including the roles of standards and governance in enterprise architecture.
Sandhill Consultants bases its education on a combination of concepts, best practices and results gained from many years of experience in the data management field. We use a proven model for adult education and work closely with our clients to understand their needs and to provide training and knowledge transfer that works for the client’s environment.
• Enterprise Data Concepts
In the Enterprise Data Concepts course, you will learn how better business decisions can be achieved using proven data design and management practices. Concepts presented include: the architecture of data and metadata - what makes data usable and useful; business information analysis - capturing the meaning of data; data modeling methods – how best to understand your enterprise data needs; data validation – the role of data standards, metrics and governance to successfully manage your data assets. Each topic is presented from conceptual and practical perspectives enabling you to successfully apply what you learn in your Enterprise.
• Enterprise Modeling – Advanced
In the Advanced course, you will learn how to analyze and model more complex data design and management issues. Concepts presented include data dynamics – understanding the sources of variance in data through its life cycle; data state transition modeling – techniques for quantum jumping process improvement; Big Data – understanding structural, life cycle and content challenges in Big Data systems; data management architecture - optimizing the design of data management systems. These topics are presented in a seminar format emphasizing role-based collaboration by the participants.
Advanced class is available as an instructor-led class, held on-site at client locations.
• Enterprise Business Process Modeling
Our EDM Process Modeling class is designed to provide advanced process modeling methods, including process analysis, synthesis, process-data integration, and performance analysis. These skills will allow the student to perform advanced process modeling, team modeling, and key Enterprise Architecture definition tasks. This class is oriented to the Business/System Analyst who needs to optimize and enhance business process and information architecture performance. Process Modeling Advanced class is available as an instructor-led class, held on-site at client locations.
