E-learning Course: Data Literacy in Action

This e-learning course empowers staff to understand the importance and criticality of data and is intended to raise data literacy across a broad range of staff roles – essentially, everyone who works with data and may participate in a data-related effort.  It provides an intensive education on how to accomplish data tasks and projects, including defining shared business terms, determining needed metadata, scoping metadata efforts, defining data requirements, working with IT partners, selecting data for acquisition, profiling data, and establishing quality thresholds, targets, and rules.

Based on four decades of working with hundreds of project teams, students who complete this course will be confident in their ability to add value to the organization and accomplish project goals in any data-related effort. This course will empower staff to make an immediate positive impact on their job functions and assist the organization in establishing a pervasive data culture.

It is offered for unlimited use across the organization. The course is formatted in four MP4 modules, approximately 30 minutes each, with accompanying quizzes, suitable for installation on a Learning Management System. In its initial form, for a state government, it has been taken by thousands of individuals and achieved high satisfaction ratings. In its refined and newly published form, it is suitable for any industry.
